why did james m say that special interests cant as easily dominate a large state?

i dont get how special interests could more easily dominate a decentralized govt than a centralized one.

he either was lying (like when he said that the powers reserved to the States would be numerous and indefinite), or he just didnt know what he was talking about as was often the case (for example, he didnt understand gresham's law because he thought the lack of tariffs was the reason for the specie being driven out when it was the paper continental dollar which drove the specie out)... i know that it's hypocritical of me to say someone else often didnt know what they were talking about, but what i said was probably true. anyway, Jefferson, Jackson, Van Buren, and Cleveland understood Gresham's Law. the keynesians of today understand it also, but they get around it via legal tender.
