you were in a car that broke the law. why did you need his information? You have admitted to be in the wrong several times, yet you still need his badge info and car number? You are an idiot for wasting his time, take the ticket for the law you broke and go home.

Jawohl! Never question authority!

OP: The cop was a jackass. You should have refused to give him your license and just stayed silent after politely requesting his badge number until he gave it to you.
Learn your rights and in the future if a cop starts to be a jerk, exercise those rights to your fullest ability. Really a cop can't do anything to you unless he gets you to waive your rights, which they are very good at doing. That is unless you're covered in blood or have a kilo of cocaine sitting on your passenger seat or something obvious like that.

Good plan!
That way you could miss the ball-game, get a ride downtown in the back of a patrol car & have a close look at the inside of a holding cell & if you get really lucky get yourself a nice beating to go with it!
I'm not implying that you arn't right in principle, but the reality is that there are times to make a stink about somthing & times where its the better part of valor to just bite your tongue ... being scolded by a rude Police officer over a parking place is a prime example of a time to shut up if you have any common sense at all, especially in NYC.

Very good plan if it plays out like you think it would.. that means a lawsuit and a few thousand dollars for missing a baseball game. The cop would have absolutely no right to arrest him in this situation, especially if he simply kept silent.
I understand there are times to exercise your rights and times not to. In this situation, when the cop appears out to get you, it is definately best to exercise your right to remain silent.

First, lay off the all caps spaz.
Second, I didn't pester anybody you fcking piece of ape sht.
Third, always question authority. Just because there's a law doesn't mean it's right. I'm amazed at the number of people who believe cops are somehow better than average people, and that what they say and do is always right.

What my brother did was dead wrong.
This cop was trying to intimidate me. What was he going to do, arrest me for using my cell phone camera?
