Why cops can have bad reputations

NYPD cops are mostly aholes. The ones who are directing traffic are the biggest Aholes, which is why they are directing traffic in the first place. I have many cops in my family and I can personally say they are all aholes. There are 2 reasons to become a NY cop, one is to be on the take the other is to be an ahole with a gun who thinks they can tell you what to do. I have dealt with NY ahole cops for 35 years, I have cursed them out, called them names and they cant to jack sh!t unless you threaten then. Everytime I have an ahole cop bust my nuts I ask for his full name and badge, if he gets pissed of an threatens a ticket I say go ahead, make sure you know WHY I am getting aticket, if he gets pissed of and threatens an arrest I hold my hands to get cuffed and tell him, take me in, I guarentee my record is cleaner than yours. After that they usually back off. NY cops are ahole. They are really pissed because sanitation men make a lot more than they do, and the sanitation men deserve it more than they do. Its harder work and its actually more dangereous than being a cop.

Flame on! 🙂

Don't have a chance to read this thread, but I'd say every month or two I see a cop run a red by flipping on his lights for just a second.

They do that because usually, they're on a call and need to get though the intersection to get to where they're going. If they don't turn on their lights and sirens, the people with green lights won't know they're coming and crash into them. I've ridden with my dad when he was on patrol, and he's done that. Just flick on his sirens right before we go though a red light so that we won't die.

The cop was an ass, but as soon as your brother did that, well it's hard to really have a case. NYPD has a bad reputation, by the way.

So if it makes any sense, I sympathize with you, but also say that at that point, you kinda put fire to the flame. If you really meant that you wanted to just see the mets game and not go any further ("... I just wanted to watch the game so I kept walking and didn't say anything..."), why did you pester him for his badge number and blah blah.

You trying to take a picture of the cops car,etc made you the instigator. If you guys just took the ticket and left, that would be that. However, you had to go and be a little punk by whipping out your cell phone and taking a pic. What were you implying? Ooo "I'm gonna report" or "I'm getting a lawyer."??? Yeah good one...then you cry about it when you get called on trying to cause problems.

IMHO, that cop was pissed because he spent hours dealing with assholes trying to do exactly what your borther did. After 2 dozen people do that, don't you think you would be pissed off? I know I could never be a cop because I'd be flipping out like that all the time. I go completely nuts because of the stupidity that occurs on Cops, let alone what would really happen to me.

Everytime I watch a car chase on Cops I know I could never do that job because I would not be able to stop from beating them within an inch of their lives once I got them stopped. That has to be stressful as hell keeping that all bottled in.

I think what you folks don't realize is that the OP is from Staten Island, and the rules of the road don't apply to people from there. They get shocked when somebody gives them a hard time for not obeying traffic laws. Something about the toxicity of the dump gives the residents permenant road rage (and generally violent attitudes). It's actually rather similar to the virus "Rage" from 28 Days Later.

Maybe that's where the new movie, "28 Weeks Later" takes place. :]

QUESTION THEM WHEN YOU ARE NOT IN THE WRONG. idiot, tell me what reason you had to pester the cop for reason

First, lay off the all caps spaz.

Second, I didn't pester anybody you fcking piece of ape sht.

Third, always question authority. Just because there's a law doesn't mean it's right. I'm amazed at the number of people who believe cops are somehow better than average people, and that what they say and do is always right.

had to cap it since apparently you cant read. and ape sht isnt really used as a noun, more of an action type saying for future reference.

second of all, yes, you did pester him. you have still yet to answer why you needed any of that information. What were you going to do, get your lawyer? No you werent, so what you were doing was pestering him you jacka$$.

third, its not even a law you idiot, he was directing traffic out of a fkcin baseball game, just because you 2 idiots cant follow hand signals doesnt mean is a god damn police state. And i would say by far, more people automatically assume cops are fat/power drunk/ etc more than they think they are "better" than normal people.

so feel free to actually explain your actions rather than sounding like an idiot trying to defend what you did as "stickin it to the man" or "questioning authority". moron.

Read the name to the left of this post and compare it to the name in the original post. I'll give you a minute...

By now you're probably feeling pretty stupid. Don't worry though, being a jackass who shoots first and asks questions later means you'll have a brilliant career as an abusive pig. If you're a cop or want to be one (judging by your avatar) then you're just another brainless moron dragging the reputation of the whole profession down you dumb son of a bitch.
