Why can't Time Warner's price be the same everywhere?

When I lived in San Antonio, I paid $29.99 a month for Road Runner since I first got it a few years ago. I moved about 100 miles away up to Austin, and it's $44.99 a month.

AT&T DSL here I come!

I was gonna get DSL when I moved because it was cheaper and they had a deal, however I needed to have a land line phone (only have a cell) and the deal was only for their most expensive long distance customers. I would have ended up paying the same, if not more for slower DSL. So here I am now, 8 megs a second on cable and happy as a clam.

I've been waiting nearly 2 months for my 4mbps cable. =[
