why can't there be an mp3 player for me?

Here's my wishlist:
- very small and light (smaller than a cd player)
- 2gb capacity
- well designed UI
- very fast transfer
- long battery life
UNDER $200

of course ipod has everything I want, except it's just too expensive for me

you know if any company is planning something that meets these criteria? I'm hoping that there will be several ipod-type devices out soon

And I want a nice car for under $500, there are ones that fit your requirements aside from the price. Its called life, you don't generally get the very best of everything for a low price.

When I was a teenager there wasn't any walkman's around yet, but my friend and some other inventive skiers started taking cheap car stereos, rechargable D cell batteries and a set of headphones and a nice homemade case with a velco cover and made "portable" cassette players. You might have to be inventive for that price............
