Both pcs im using in my LAN are Windows XP Pro, and I can access them fine in my network connections, however, when I try and goto the program files, it says "\\Laptop\C\Program Files is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the admin of this server to find out if you have access permissions. Access is denied". However, I AM the administrator, and I want to move my files on the network without dealing with this crap! Ive looked all through the options, shared every folder, and NOTHING. This problem never happened under windows 98. Please help!

Thanks, but it still wont work. I cant access the program files! its greyed out when i try to share that folder specifically.

edit: I just want my ENTIRE computer shared on the network, if i disable simple file sharing, i gotta manually share each folder.. argh! this is a head ache.

Did you check to see if the other computers have all their firewall disabled?

I just went to a house to fix their networking computers and it turns out there was a firewall that was on.

5 mins work and 40 dollars :D
