....I get taken to a blank screen.

Also when I click on a URL link within a message I go to a blank page or sometimes nothing happens.

I think it is my security setting....what should they be set at? Somehow they got changed because I did not have this problem yesterday.

Thanks,

Dan

Are you running a firewall or pop up blocker? Either one can block java.

JavaScript is what's being used here, not Java (there is a big difference, despite the similarity in the names). The procedure for changing your settings varies depending on which browser you're using. If you are using Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > Security and check the settings there.

I had it right. I meant "java" as in coffee. If you don't get your coffee you can't concentrate on what you are doing and problems arise. Ya, that's it. :)

I changed the security settings to "default" or medium but I'm still blocked out.

I am behind McAfee firewall/virus. I checked there and couldn't find a solution.

Most of my ad popups are blocked thru ........can't remember how I did that. Would ad-ware 6.0 have anything to do with this?

Ad-aware should have no effect. Pop up blockers can though as some will block java script. It see js as an ad trying to pop up.
What browser are you running?

I'm running IE6 with latest updates in Win 2000. I turned McAfee firewall off and that does not help.

I still can't send out PM's from here or connect to any links.

I'm gonna install msconfig and see what is running. With windows 2000 I don't know what all is running.

Well everything seems to be working fine now. I ran Norton Windoctor and ran msconfig to get rid of some unwanted startup progs...none of which would have caused the probmlem.

What the hell?
