A couple of days ago I came here for some tips on how to go about conecting to pc's for gaming , I decided to go with a crossover cable and the two nic cards, I have them both configure basically the same and I can access the files and share them also, but when I lunch the lan game on one computer and go to the other and start the lan game also, and check for any lan games I don't see the game, Im I doing something wrong??? or the crossover cable is only for sharring files and not for gaming? any suggestions will be appreciated, I have win 98 on both and I'm trying to play tribes2 .
thanks

okay, so I go to network under my control panel and add ixp as protocol, now is that going to the one for me to use as default ?. I look and I do have ixp in there and tcp/ip and another protocol, so I'm still lost here lol. basically with the crossover cables what is going to be my defaul protocol and basic set up to get a lan game going? anybody?
thanks again
