Why cant I install my Hollywood+???????

I can install the drivers fine, but then i go to install the software and it doesnt do anything, like i double click set up and it goes to the hourglass for 5-10 seconds then back to the normal mouse pointer. Without doing anyhting, what can i do?

sorry its win98 SE, i have done it b4, just not after i swapped out my old BM6 for my MSI Pro2A. I did a fresh install but i cant load the software, the drivers for the card install fine but they dont do me any good without the software

it sounds to me like windows is acting up.. reformat should do the trick! heh..

No need to reformat.

If you have extra slot...then remove the driver and shut down. Remove the hollywood card to another slot and boot up. Reinstall the driver.

I just re-installed!!!!! there is like nothing installed on the system yet, how could windows screw up this soon???

Did you by any chance install PowerDVD first? I believe that PowerDVD and a hardware decoder can not be used at the same time. I had PowerDVD 3.0 installed and it would not let me install the drivers for the H+. As soon as I uninstalled PowerDVD it worked like a charm. In the readme file on the PowerDVD CD, it says you can't use both. Just a thought...

Ok i installed it, dont ask why it worked, i just installed the newest BIOS, the overclockers bios with the higher voltage and stuff(not beacuse i wanted it but beacuse i have tried everything else) And then i could install it fine. Thanks for the help anyways guys
