Why can't I get all NFL games through Dish Network

Huh? Why? Is this an NFL licensing thing to make DirectTV's Sunday Ticket people's only option? Fuck them in their fucking faces... the lot of em!

Anyway, I'm a displaced Coloradan looking to see the Broncos lose on live TV. My only choice in my apartment is Dish Network. Even with their sports package (which I'm told is the best they have) I don't see that I get anything extra looking at their channel guide. I just get 15 fucking channels to watch the same god damned game that I don't give a shit about. What's the point of having so many channels if they're just duplicates of the other fucking stations? I get some extra baseball games it looks like. BASEBALL?!?! Fuck that, I want football and I want it NAO!

Apparently it is possible to sign up for DirecTV Sunday Ticket To Go (streaming to computers and phones) without needing a DirecTV subscription, but only if DirecTV service isn't available in your area. If it is, I guess you're SOL unless you decide to lose Dish and sign up for DTV instead.

EDIT: But yeah, considering how much it's advertised and how they advertise it ("the ONLY way to watch ALL the games on Sunday" or whatever) I'm surprised you didn't know about this.

I think it IS technically available in my area, just not my complex. I wonder how specific they are with the "not available in your area" thing. My PC tower is right next to my entertainment center so running an HDMI cable would be easy. Audio would be slightly trickier though.

I've tried, several of us have. The ones we used went down and the ones we found are of terrible quality. I have no problem paying for proper access to HD games, but I'm not a big fan of having ZERO way of getting it regardless of amount spent.

On the bright side, the contract between DircTV and the NFL expires in 2015. 😛
 
I found out they sell Sunday Ticket directly through the PS3, which is good because I have one.

What's not so good is that it costs $339.96 for the season.

Now that's around $20 PER WEEK of access for regular season. Remember when I said I don't have a problem paying? Well I kind of have a problem with that. That's ridiculous. I'm not happy, but I may be over it.

Yeah, the $50 for five months is a great deal if you can convince them that you can't get it - maybe that's worth a shot. I mean it's not like you can just beg your landlord or whoever to get DirecTV.

I find it funny that Sunday Ticket To Go is $10 per month if you buy 5 months at a time, but $50 per month if you buy 1 month at a time. I guess that's satellite TV for ya.
 
It's mostly because you're a broncos fan so they do it out of spite.

All kidding aside, there really is no restriction to getting Sunday Ticket To Go. You just tell them that it's impossible to get Line of Sight to their satellites from your residence, and that's all it takes.

You'll still have to navigate the $350 or so, but hey, I'm paying more than I "wanted" to when I got 50% off Sunday Ticket (And I'm a DirecTV subscriber!). But honestly, I've already got my money's worth watching the Bills go 2-0.
 
DTV is the only way to get Sunday Ticket because DTV offered the NFL the most money. DTV offered the NFL the most money because they know they can pass it on to their buyers. So the only reason that Sunday Ticket is DTV only is because a middle-man inserted themselves and the kindly drove up the price.
