For example, when I was young I had a huge crush on Helen Slater. She was Supergirl. I bought Starlog magazine whenever she appeared in there and just gazed at her pictures. I went to movies (like the Legend of Billie Jean) that I normally wouldn't be interested in just because she was in it.
Now, Hollywood girls are no big deal to me. Lots of you guys have crushes on Kristen Kreuk or Angelina Jolie but while I find them attractive I don't have a "thing" for them. Nor for any girl (real or Hollywood) anymore.
For example, I think Milla Jovovich is super hot but while watching Resident Evil I couldn't help but noticed in some angles/scenes she could sort of look like a boy. That disturbed me. It made me think that the difference between men and women is really thin. Have you noticed that when we all get older, men and women start to look alike?
Consider Jessica Alba. I thought she was super hot but then her brother appeared in a few episodes of Dark Angel and I couldn't help but noticed the resemblance between them. After that, Jessica Alba doesn't look so hot to me anymore.
I once thought Rachael Leigh Cook was super hot but sometimes I see pictures of her and I am beginning to wonder if she's really all that. In some pictures, it looks like she has a ton of makeup and I think she isn't as pretty as I thought she was.
