Why can't all games be done as well as the new Star Wars Lego game?

I was eating out last night and a family that sat at the table next to me had a 7-year old boy that would not shut up about this game. He was talking about how great the game was to his grandmother and he went on and on about it for the entire time that family was there. It must be one hell of a game to keep a 7-year old's attention for that long....

He's probably the OP 😛

Giants: Citizen Kabuto was the same way - it had safe points, but no way to save at custom places. On some levels it was ok. Others, such as those with bases, or the end levels, could take more than an hour.

I didn't like it much. I didn't like that I couldn't control the camera. I had to run in circles until the camera pointed where I wanted it and then moved on.

Company of Heros seems to be plagued with the same "no save" feature.
Which is HORRIBLY annoying since the missions can take forver.

I love the game. Not being able to custom save sucks though. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't take 45min - 1hr to complete a level True Jedi.

And yes, Han shoots first. 🙂

Check again. CoH allows you to save anytime.

Lego Star Wars was also entertaining... if they allowed you to save during missions it would make the game too easy and getting true Jedi and all the canisters/bricks would be a joke. So it works best w/o saves.

So every game should be 3 hours long and have absolutely no replay value?

Don't get me wrong, I liked the first game and I'm sure the new oe is good as well - but these type of games should be sold for $20

Star Wars Lego games are awesome because they work within their means. They don't try to do anything revolutionary graphics wise and they also know where to cut their boundries.

The more I play this the better it gets. All the little things and "inside jokes" are priceless.
Although I skipped over Empire Chapter 1... WTF are you supposed to do in the speeders vs the AT-STs?

More proof that good gameplay is superior to good graphics. If only we could get ALL the developers to realize this. 🙁

Use the tow cable to wrap up their legs. Once they fall down, grab a bomb with the tow cable and roll it into them.

how can you say a game is well done when you can't even save?

do you think Rainbow Six was a well done game? you couldn't save that either unless you finished a level

don't think i ever played it. any game that doesn't let you save when you want is not completely well done.

not every game is going to hold your hand and tuck you in at night. sometimes games are a challenge. GOSH!

OK WTH... I did this... how many do I have to blow up like this? and I assume they have to be knocked down already to count? I hit a few while still standing.

Stupid level.
