Why can some people not disconnect themselves from work-worded emails?!

I'm talking about people that write you a personal email and it is worded/structured like it came out of a business "machine" - everything is straight to the point, zero emotion, robotic. STOP IT!!! Disconnect yourself from work for 2 freaking minutes!! :|

/Rant

Thanks for listening....I feel better now 🙂

I'd much rather get an email as described above then:

omg hi2u. how r u? etc etc etc

I have a bad habit of doing just that. I hate it. Sitting at home on the weekends trying to solve work related issues. Or being out with my fiancee but yet constantly thinking about work. It sucks.

Your thoughts, ideas, and feelings are echoed and I empathize with you. However, should you choose to continue with this ill-advised temperament, I will have no choice but to get the moderators involved and remedy the situation before an uprising occurs.

Yeah- that's what really kills me. IM language kills me.

Agreed...chat language in an email would be as equally frustrating. All I'm asking for is a normal, HUMAN conversation - not one with a corporate drone.

I wouldn't describe a business email as being straight to the point.

But maybe we could get some face time to wrap our arms around this and develop a path forward and a list of action items to get some clarification on this issue.
