Why can I play a video file on an old NVidia 6200LE but cant on a Radeon 2600Pro?

WinXP, latest video driver for both. I'm using Media Player Classic, latest version.

6200LE is in PCI slot, 2600pro is in PCIE slot and is main.

From the Hierarchy chart:

THe 2600pro is several levels above the 6200LE.

So why can the 6200LE play a video file but all i get is a black screen w/the 2600Pro???

try using a different output render in MPC, like Haali

I'm pretty sure this is one of the reasons NT6.x doesn't allow drivers for both nVidia and ATi to be loaded at the same time. And this board is littered with people seeking help after switching from ATi to nVidia after stability went out the window, only to be cured with a driver cleaner or flattening the machine.

Pull the nVidia card and wipe the drivers. Video should now play via the ATi card.
