1) 4-4-4-10 380x8 (1:1) = 3.040Ghz Orthos Stable, Memtest Stable
2) 5-5-5-15 400x8 (1:1) System boots up on loop, unsuccessful OC
3) 5-5-5-15 400x8 (4:5, where memory is working at 500mhz) = 3.2ghz Orthos Stable, Memtest Stable
4) 5-5-5-15 407x8 (1:1) unsuccessful OC
A compatibility issue between what two parts? I'm using the Crucial 10th Anniversary Edition on S3 Board, e6400 cpu.

Never run 400 with an S3 or DS3 (while testing, anyway). You're using the wrong memory strap at 400 FSB. Try 401 @ 4-4-4-12, and lower your vdimm to 2.1v or 2.2v.

The DS3 BIOS had issues with Micron D9 based memory and maybe you're seeing something similar. Look at the highlighted speed you posted above...This is FASTER than 1:1 anyway. Also try 5-4-4-12 and I can just about guarantee the Crucial will do that. You should just run 4:5 as it's ALWAYS better with a C2D to have high memory speed vs timings and slower speed.

What did you mean that it's faster than 1:1? If it didn't work at loosened timings such as 5-5-5-15, would changing them to 5-4-4-12 allow me to break the 380fsb wall (at 1:1 operation) for my S3 motherboard? I'll give it a shot.
Well, I've been trying to run 5-5-5-15 400FSB at a 1:1 operation, but it doesnt work.
