Why be openly 420?

I don't care which side of the marijuana debate you are on, it's still illegal about 99% of the time. My question is what do you think of people who advertise that they smoke?

I see people who proudly wear marijuana themed clothing, put pot bumper stickers on their car or apply for jobs using joey420@ismoke.com on their application. When did it get so trendy to be open about your smoking with the entire world?

So you could care less about the issue? I hope people who say "I could care less" read this thread and learn a thing or two.

Read it again, professor. He said "people here care less". Which is saying they do not care as much. They have lesser care.
He didnt say they dont care. Being Canadian he knows how much Americans care about everything, whether he wants to or not.

lighten up, smoke a doobie! It's not a big deal, dude. I'm sure many tight asses said the same things during Prohibition/

I'm Canadian. People here care less.

The real question is why/when did it get so taboo?

Richard Nixon. He was a Quaker with a bug up his ass about pot. He commissioned a medical study to show how dangerous it was and it didn't get the outcome he was hoping for. So he buried the results and went on an anti-marijuana crusade anyway.

He did the same thing to porn.

My mom bought me an amsterdam T-shirt because she knows I like their "local flora" she also got me some cranberry juice to detox for a drug test. Smoking pot truly isnt that big of a deal.

Some people don't have any sense of who they are so they need to pick something to 'define' themselves. Could be pot, could be football, could be anything.

As much as I'm for legalizing it does seem rather short sighted to put any references in an email address you do any sort of business with...

This.

Kind of like the dudes who exclusively wear black heavy metal T-shirts and nothing else - seven days a week, every week. Like, if they didn't wear one for a day, they would instantly lose all their heavy metal 'cred' or their identity as a whole.

Logically, it's because smoking mj inhibits the ability to make smart decisions. 😛

There is obviously a marijuana subculture that they identify with. It will probably go away when it gets legalized. Then they'll turn into hipsters because they smoked pot before it was legal.
