Why be offened by bad words?

For some people, a bad word is just a word, regardless of its intent or meaning. Others, however, are a bit more sensitive to such things.
 
Do this: call them "grown up words" instead of "bad words". That's how I handle it with my kids. I can say "grown up words", they cannot. I don't want them to think I'm "bad", so I don't call them "bad words".

I'm offended by usage of HTML tags in a forum that doesn't support them. 😛
