Why Ban Religious Hot Deals?

Recently, all religious hot deals have been banned, apparently because of thread crapping by anti-religious folks....

Instead of banning the Religious Hot Deals, why not ban those that are not posting appropriately?

Because there are too many people posting innappropriatly to ban them all, or at least thats what I gathered from the sticky post in HD.

Besides, how many "religious hot deals" are you going to miss out on? I see one or two "free bible" posts every 6 months or so, thats about it.

It's not a blanket statement about religion by the mods (and if you think they're anti-religion, try searching OT for some threads on it, there have been tons that went un-locked), they just want to limit the hostility in HD.

Well, ban the worst few and the others will get the message. Make an example out of them. I am an atheist but I see no reason to slam someone for his/her religous views. That's the sign of an insecure coward.
