Why aren't there forum rules stickied?

What i don't get is why not just lay down some rules. A lot of their effort seems like it could be alleviated by having a sticky with stuff that says:

-No neffing ( which means no posts that add nothing to the thread, such as "+1" )

-No foul language or variations of it ie "fvck"

- etc
-etc

-Your post may be edited/deleted by the mods discretion, and reserve the right to ban you for breaking the rules.

I would say partly because there are 3 types of threads in that forum

WTB, FS, and WTT

Atot is veryyyy.... Dynamic, the mods would have to spend so much time writing so many rules to cover it all.

Also, some forum members get away with more then others I think in part because some contribute more then others.

I sometimes browse other forums were the rules are: whatever the mods want them to be, why? because they own/are charged with moderating the forum. Even discussing moderation is a bannable offense.

now thats a load of BS right there. look at all the threads that get posted here about various things that go unchecked. for example, the euphemisms for breasts thread. that wouldn't fly at work or most places.

I was given a week vacation for a mistake once. I was editing my post at the same time a mod was and the mod thought I edited their edit. I fully understood why they thought what they did and didn't even fight it all that much.

And 99.9% of them KNEW they were pushing the limits when they did get banned.

Nik had a big time weakness and was warned over and over again for flaming people and going into uncontrollable rages.
