Creative Mind Shares Traits with Mentally Ill

I need a different link or links. The one you provided said something completely different than what you posted as your comments not to mention you other poor reasoning skills:
B: In psychological terms liberals, artists etc are more open to suggestion - and prone to psychotic illness.
M: The article was about creative people, not about liberals. Creative people may be liberal but liberals aren't necessarily creative. And Bush, for example, is a creative genius who has any number of masterpieces of disaster very much like that artist, Hitler.
B: In many ways artists are broken people - emotional, adrift in thoughts and feelings, prone to confusing reality and fantasy - what you would call "open minded".
M: But this is an example of your own being adrift in thoughts and feelings. It's just a bigoted opinion. This has nothing to do with what I would call open minded. To be open minded, in my opinion, is to have a facility for seeing things from many perspectives. It is simply a form of humility, a lack of fanatical certainty that one already knows everything. It is the preservation of curiosity toward life, a lack of emotions and intellectual deadness which are, very much, characteristics of conservatives. Tree stumps and turnips don't suffer much in the way of depression.
B: This is why an Obama can give suck them in so easy - they live on and by emotional impressions they mistake for thinking.
M: Who said conservatives can't be funny? The sheep are those who, after 8 years of disaster, still support McSame. It is the capacity to see from many angles that attracts people to Obama, who can see past his preacher, people he was in a room with, the color of his skin, etc etc etc. Your words are the height of living on emotional impressions pretending to be thinking.
B: Many are prisoners of trauma and dont know it. This is why they are more prone to drug addictions, unstable relationships, tragedy etc etc
M: Hehe, we are all prisoners of trauma, but not all of us know it. And it is the sane who are the sickest of all. The sane are the most deeply asleep to what happened to them. The first thing that happens in the journey to mental health is the descent into darkness, the becoming aware of the illness, the realization that one is actually ill. This is clearly laid out in all world myth and legends and stories about a rescue from hell, a descent into some sort of underworld or the slaying of this or that dragon. It is the story of the journey of the Hero. "In the sea there are riches beyond compare, but if you seek safety it's on the shore." Always the Hero is in grave danger. He has to use a mirror to handle the Hydra because a sudden look at the real truth can kill the unprepared. You are unprepared and deservedly frightened.
B: But this is precisely why Jesus came for these broken ones. What is broken are the illusions that sustain the hideously sick ego or ordinary and emotionally dead people.
Humanity is upside down. We are all in a capsized boat and to escape you have to dive down into all that horrible mental illness. It's always darkest before the dawn. Of course the yoga the saint and the fakir sometimes jump right on over by becoming or surrendering to the will of God.
