Question Why aren't there any 4x32GB or 2x64GB DDR5 ram sets out yet?

I'm looking to upgrade in the near future but I need 128GB of RAM.
This was available on DDR4 but isn't yet available in DDR5.

Don't suppose anyone knows why or when we might see them?

Woah! I didn't know there was a kit available.

Do you know if it's compatible with the 670Xe Aorus Xtreme? I've never bought the Sabrent brand before.

Ah okay, thanks. It looks like my motherboard runs 4 slots at 3600MHz which isn't great.

Also apparently the Sabrent modules don't come in kits so they might not work as well together.

Techincally you only need a 4x32 kit over a 2x32 kit if your cpu has quad channel ram.
And even then, as long as you stick with the same 2x32 kit your still ok as long again, your keeping the same vendor / speed / timings on both kits.

Reason is when you quad channel ideally you want to keep to the closest set.
When they are bundled like that, typically they are from the same batch.

So you 90% of the time wont have any problems when you buy 2 kits at the same time, because typically they will be from the same batch.

So unless you thought 4x32gb kit would be cheaper then a (2 x 32gb) x 2 sometimes they are, but if your not pinching on the cost, just get 2 x (2x32), as again, most systems are dual channel, until you goto HEDT and Servers.

Yeah, I was tempted but then I read my motherboard only officially supports 4x32GB @ 3600MHz which isn't great. So I've stuck with 2x32GB @ 4800MHz for now.

Indeed, the ones I found were pretty expensive.

Price has come down a lot. Now the premium over DDR4 is negligible.

Edit: I stand corrected. It is not negligible still. But it's getting better. $$ wise DDR5 is where DDR4 was just a couple of months ago, and DDR4 price went down more I see.
