Why aren't conservatives outraged????

That's a great article. Like I said before, I respect William Buckley highly. He is in a different class from other conservative commentators. He is one of the rare conservative intellectuals. He and Willaim Safire are not afraid to criticize eventhough their criticism may carry a political price. I don't consider the other two comentary to be "outrages".

My whole point was where was the outrage that was seen in the "white house vandals" case.

I disagree. Conservative pundits are heavily intellectual. Sure you have rabble rousers like Limbaugh (and Mike Savage around here), flaming idiots like Ann Coulter, and guilt-ridden former commies like Horowitz, but I do believe that the movement itself is highly intellectual. I think you will find that it is the liberals who have not had a new idea in 30 years.

You are right that Buckley is in a different league. He was one of the founders of modern conservativism and is, of course has published dozens of books. I will admit that as a public speaker he is completely incomprehensible.

Actually, it's the great orators that I am worried. I would say the majority of Americans are easily fooled by fallicies in great rhetorics. I mean Hitler was a great orator.

I don't really see why conservative ideas are "new". I consider TNR to have tons of fresh "liberal" ideas.

The outrage of corperate theft is there, it has always been there. White collar crime is nothing new.

Valdalizing the whitehouse by the exiting party is something new and quite childish for our politicians to do.

The reason Liberals don't have any new ideas is because all the good ideas are old and they conserve them.

Never heard socialism and institutionalized racism described quite that way.

I actually think the SAT is worthless. However, I've said this before. The SAT is not racist as some stupid NAACP leaders argue. The disparity of scores along racial lines only indicate the quality of k-12 education and the cultural emphasis placed on education. And the gap will be even wider with the new stupid writing section. The scores on SATs will not predict future achievements. I recently volunteered for a "science day" for some East Baltimore elementary school kids. I was eating lunch with 5 kids. I asked them what they want to be when they grow up. 2 said football player, 1 said basketball player, 1 said rap star, and one said cop. If you ask the same questiopn to asian kids, you get a very very different answer. The NAACP, with all its clout and money, should start promoting science, engineering, and business.

Here's the difference between republicans and democrats.

Republicans use their brains to think things through.
Democrats use their emotions to feel things through.

Damn THOSE OTHER PEOPLE. THEY are such hypocrites. THEY are so bad and evil, I hate THEM so much.

Me, I'm perfect. I don't have to question my own behavior because I represent everything that is good. That is why I focus negative energy on a faceless, loosely strung-together group of people I've created a label for, and whom I always imagine the worse of. This is how good people create change, why can't you all be more like me and not be such hypocrites.

Of course, CEO's like those of Enron ARE Republicans in the first place.

Are you saying democrats are not smart enough to build a multi-billion dollar company?

That's pretty narrow minded of you.
Myself, i've met a couple smart democrats. 🙂

LOL, hehehe

You've met smart Americans? Must have been immigrants 😉

Anyway, a lot of people change their principles once they get enough power/money. If they were for helping the poor while middle class, once they have a lot of money themselves they want to get even more and think, to quote the Roman Senate from History of the World Part I: 'F*ck the poor!'

That's the most ignorant thing I've heard. Maybe you should seek help for your class envy, eh?
