cans are superior now anyway, should just use those. less head space, no light whatsover, easier to recycle, don't affect taste at all, cheaper to ship, etc.

(ok very very small volumes, bottles may be cheaper than cans)

I'd prefer this type. What's the name of it?

I wish they came in little juice box containers with the bendy straw.

I think the french do this with wine.

Box & bag is actually a great way to store wine. The big boxes are the best because the wine does go bad after opening, like with bottles.

But wouldn't you want a smaller serving so that you have a higher chance of consuming it all after opening it?

Here's a million dollar idea : juice boxes but with wine inside them. Perfect for the ball game or a play your kids in.

Juice box, or Boxed wine?

The Juice box is just about two glasses, I'd think.

Boxed wines are vacuum sealed in a bag with a spout thingy. Releasing wine from it doesn't introduce any air, so there's no oxidation to make the wine go bad. That's why it comes in 3 bottle increments. 1 box can last a while. Apparently, the french have really good wine in boxes. I've had a couple ok boxes in America.

How so? A keg is basically a huge can.

technically, yes. the problem with kegs, though, is you can't assume to know the history of the individual keg.

If you get your own keg filled, it's probably one of the best solutions out there, but going into a bar, you just have to expect that the lines are clean, the keg has been regularly used, thus regularly replaced, and not sitting on the line for weeks.

Technically speaking, both are equal. It's simply an issue of "unknown source" when it comes to kegs.

I don't like twist offs for the simple reason that they aren't as reusable for brewing. Sometimes they will work, but they frequently strip off the threading or outright crack the top of the bottle as its usually a much thinner glass than a "pop top".

Twist off just screams cheap. Just like synthetic corks/twist corks and boxes for wine. Even though it has been proven that synthetic corks and boxes are actually better.

Friend of mine likes the pop-tops because he can reuse the bottles to do a homebrew. Can't do that with twist-offs.
I do to. You can re-use the pry off with a bench capper but most pry off bottles are so light weight they are not worth reusing, they are just trash. Pepsi kegs are they way to go. Nothing is as nice as having four handcrafted beers on tap.
