**NSFW** It's a Bill Maher clip, so its adult content. **NSFW**

A few points were made in the video that I thought were interesting.

1) Many young men today are more isolated, lonely and broke than in the past.
2) We can expect more violence from these lonely, broke young men in the near future.
3) Young men aren't attending college like they did in the past. Lets also be honest. Many aren't even doing trade work. They just aren't working at all. That is what I've noticed. Which is going to lead to young women looking elsewhere for a mate.
4) Online dating and social media has been awful for the development of these young men.
5) Scott said something interesting. "The most unstable nations in the world have one thing in common. They have too many lonely, broke and alone men.
6) 1 in 3 young men have had sex in the last year. It would seem that many young guys aren't interested in dating, or having a career?
7) Dating today is FIERCE. And, it doesn't favor young men who have nothing to offer.

Is Scott fear mongering, or is he on to something?

Hm, some dangerous men are pretty good at getting women preggers...like real good...

Having a kid is a useful card to use for criminals in the system.

Young men have always been a problem for society's. Go look at crime statistics. I bet over 90% of violent crimes are by men under the age of 25. Violent crime would be almost non existent if we could somehow just put young men into stasis until their 30's.

Plenty of reasons for young men to be angry and feel they are disadvantaged, whether justified or not. Easier to isolate yourself and put yourself in an echo chamber with the internet and various niche message boards like 4chan, reddit, etc to help grow that hate and justification. More interaction by global superpowers to instigate that as well through manipulative bot activity, malicious troll accounts, etc.

People label it as incel sub-culture - really just a rebranding of a mid-1900's anti-women culture but with far less masculinity and far more aggressiveness.

It could certainly be easier and more appealing to be given all the reasons why it's not your fault, versus changing your situation, which is not an easy way out.

stagnant wages, massive income inequality, lack of any prospect of future home ownership (combined with a overpriced rental market)

The problem is that we are finally realizing most of what we were taught about America as kids was straight-up lies and all this country really cares about is higher profit-margins for already wealthy white people.

just when i got enough money to afford a house, the price and interest rates went and doubled on me!

also it is hard to find a house that is in an ideal location if for some reason i can't drive for a few years

Men are harassed for being "manly." Long gone are the days when men were supposed to be tough, macho men.
Meh, I think that's a bit of a canard. Unless by "manly," you mean kinda being a dick.

Obviously "manly" is up for quite a bit of variability, but if we're talking about cat calling, spitting in the street, etc I think society is better off

Now days they call that "toxic masculinity". They are pushing men to become more like women now days and in some cases even making it accepted for them to dress like women and use women's bathrooms. If you don't agree then you're an extremist, misogynist and a racist!

Can you please provide specific examples of "manly behavior" that is no longer tolerated?

You're starting to sound like my 90 year old mother that doesn't get out too much and lives on a diet of far too much right wing press.

I'm too naturally seductive to women with ugly faces to be insecure about my "manliness". :p

Hot
Rich
Cares

The trifecta women are always pursuing.

The reason asshole men get women for a while is because they'll say what is expedient for the situation and emotions. Meaning, they play nice guy better than nice guys and become assholes later in the relationship.

Healthy masculinity exists, see: Chris Hemsworth for example.

Yeah, the difference is negligible at this point. He was already prone to batshit and deficient in critical thought, but the pandemic has pushed him through the looking glass.

Fixed.

*(for men you can sub in appearance for money)
Money can't replace sexual competency, which held in high importance by plenty of women(I highly doubt the majority of women can dispute this, so I'm sticking to this gun).

Based on what I recall, money can compensate for naturally unattractiveness in a male profile.

So the arrangement can be a rich husband/boyfriend for the Gucci purses but smoking hot Adonis elsewhere for the laying. It's basically Hephaestus, Aphrodite, and Ares on repeat(humans haven't changed much in this regard over thousands of years.

(I did take a Psychology of Love course in college as an elective. ;))

Gold-diggers are in it solely for the money but the pretend to care about everything else until the money is obtained.

Real-life experience with flesh and blood women is a vastly more effective learning technique IRL.
Maybe you're just not hot so you needed to make money to reel 'em in.

I unwittingly and unintentionally attracted three females in my life. So I know I'm sexy(to girls with ugly faces). ;)

With anti-fat genes, athlete genes, and long life in the X chromosome, I know they viscerally wanted a sniff and offspring with said qualities. ;)
