I eat meat. Even if I stop, I'll never lose touch with the side of me that, if needed, would jump on the back of a cow and knife in the throat over and over until it fell, then somehow get it home and on the stove.

I like how Dennis Leary says it.

Meat tastes like murder and murder tastes pretty god damned good!

Honestly though salads and fruits leave me feeling empty.

I used to be vegan, back when I was a misguided youth, but it was never really out of some sort of internal moral dilemma, just wanted to see if I could do it. Now I eat meat because I enjoy the taste of it; it's really the animals' own fault for tasting so damn good.

Altering my diet now would end in failure. I guess you could say I am about 85% vegetarian anyway, as I only eat it on occasion. (read a few times a week.)

I am not a vegetarian because of beef, pork, lamb, shrimp, crab, octopus, clams, buffalo, deer, chicken, turkey, ducks, squid, fish, frogs, goat, ox, and of course, puppies!

because being a vegetarian eliminates alot of choices of food you can choose, especially if you like to travel or try foods from different cultures. imagine going to a foreigner's house and they cook you all this shit, and then you say "no sry im a vegetarian!" how rude would that be?

I was never militant about it when I was a vegetarian(meat reduced diet is more accurate). If I were served meat as a guest, I would happily eat it :^)

beyond the bad joke. i find the purity/smug self satisfaction/sense of superiority through deprivation many vegans have is rather religious in nature. major turn off.

That's so weird, because I find the purity/smug self satisfaction/sense of superiority through deprivation many religious people have is rather religious in nature.

How about that?

his made sense, yours doesnt. how 'bout that?

i eat meat because i like the flavor, texture and smell of it. i dont eat a whole lot of it anymore, limit to about 6oz per meal and added more veggies/ fruits to our diet. just to balance it all out tho, before we (kids and i) would have a huge steak and some mac n cheese, or chops and rice. great food, but not real balanced. now ill limit it to one regular or 2 small chops, and add veggies to the plate. been much better for us all so far.

gf is vegan, so naturally she makes vegan meals. very tasty to be honest, but I am still a meat eater, but if the world came to a halt and mad cow disease was everywhere, i wouldn't mind vegan meals.
