Food preparation is too labor intensive. I prefer vegetarian food though.

I don't eat lots of meat, but I don't see any reason to alter my diet.

Not being able to eat certain things is a liability, plain and simple. This goes for diabetics, lactose intolerants or anyone. Having a diverse food supply is essential for basic survival.

I force myself to eat foods that look weird or are made of strange parts of animals/plants. It usually turns out good, but not always.

Besides the obvious reason of taste. Why not eat meat? God put animals on earth for a reason.

That's so weird, because I find the purity/smug self satisfaction/sense of superiority through deprivation many religious people have is rather religious in nature.

How about that?

I wasn't raised one and the ideas behind it are not convincing enough to change my eating habits.
