Still early here. (0930) the work is about to begin.

Pies were made last night, turkey is about to go on the BBQ, most of the sides are easy & quick to prepare.

Let the feasting begin!!

BTW, I'm here to voice my thanks for Rubycon...her vast storehouse of knowledge, her great library of fun videos, and to top it all off...she's easy on the eyes.

Didn't fly home; still at school since I thought I had classes yesterday (they were cancelled). My brother's here though, so we'll probably do some sort of dinner thing.

Just killing some time until dinner. I have to leave in about a half hour to go pick my grandpa up, then it's time to have the biggest eating session of the year.

Working mathematical proofs thanks to the holiday buster of an assignment I received from one of my professors. Thankfully, I do not have to go into the lab until Monday. My parents are visiting (a 7-hour drive), but the PC stays on because of MATLAB (and thus ATOT in one window). I just got back from going out to eat with them. They have stepped out for about an hour to go shopping while I work.

I love professors who try and ruin holidays. Of course, I had a professor who gave us a reading assignment on the Friday before Katrina hit. The first day back, we had a test.

He later apologized.

No homework left, just final exams in 2 weeks. Job starts Monday, so I'm enjoying these last couple days of relaxation.

In other news, I was eligible to collect UI on Sep 5, and I've since received ONLY 2 CHECKS. :(

Both the wife and the girlfriend have family gatherings and one of our initial agreements about two years ago was that there would be no favorites in the relationship.

Both come to my family for Christmas. It alternates for the sake of equality.

Just woke up. No one is here yet. I am waiting on my turn to take a shower. I planned on working on a project/paper that would take me 7 hours to do today, but I didn't wake up before 9:00AM, so that's kinda fucked. I guess I'll try doing a little today and more tomorrow.

EDIT: Btw, a facebook status I found on my feed... "XXX: [Words] Going to pretend I am a turkey and get stuffed! [Insert more words]" Now, the question is whether I make a joke since this person has family on their page... Mmm...

mom's cooking in the kitchen, dad's watching tv in the tv room, and the company isn't getting here for another hour, so I'm just hanging out in the living room on my netbook.

Packers are beating the Lions like a drum, sister and little cousin are watching Anne of Green Gables, Uncle and Dad are watching the game and solving sudoku, Mom and Aunt are in the kitchen doing something or other. I'm on the couch switching between the game and ATOT.
