Why are women sold small things?

This is one of those questions which strikes me every now and again. Many things - including, let's take as an example, consumer electronics, which are super-minaturised, are touted as being perfect for women. OK, so they're slightly weaker, they've got smaller hands etc...

But, consider this. Women are socially allowed to carry small bags. Men must either have a backpack that possibly stores the contents of their house, or they are limited to their pockets. So why are we walking around with enormous pieces of kit when we have nowhere to put it? Yet a man carrying something tiny and sleek are generally considered effete.

Surely we should get the small stuff?

you've obviously never seen a woman in a shopping mall, infant in stroller, toddler at side, lugging the most hideous device known to man, the diaper bag !

I have the thinnest cell phone in the world (Sanyo 6000) and people think I'm all that and a bag of chips. Chicks dig it so much, they basically tear off their clothes and hurl their sweltering naked bodies in my direction..

My wife carries a fairly large bag. She can't seem to fit her Colt AR-9mm Lightweight Carbine in anything smaller than a medium sized bag. She could collapse the stock to fit in something daintier, but she feels it takes a tad to much time to employ the weapon in that situation.

I don't know about you mate but I carry a normal sized bag.

All the electronics I have are small. I don't tend to not like big things that are not sleek or bulge out of my pocket.

That happens to me all the time. Of course, its not usually caused by a small cellphone, or a small anything for that matter.

He just uses the cell phone as a size indicator in his pictures. Since the cell phone is so small and people think of them as bigger, whatever is next to the phone looks huge.
