Why are we building a $1 Billion memorial for 9/11?

screw the memorial if that's the case!

You're in California. The people of NYC want this and many others too. We spend $1 billion per week in Iraq, billions on social programs, what is $1 billion to honor the people on that day?

I hate taxing people involuntarily as much as anyone, but when you consider how big the government has gotten and how much increase in spending has occurred, this should be minor.

Why is NASA a waste of money? That's 16.8 billion that goes into advancing humanty's scientific knowledge. In my book that will NEVER be a waste of money.
