Why are us guys so afraid of penises?

I consider myself pretty open-minded and am totally for Gay-rights, marriage equality being an issue that I think is a civil right issue and not a Religious (or even Political) one at all...

But I was watching bruno this weekend and found myself squirming every time there was a penis on screen, and I don't really understand why I found the visuals so revolting. I mean, I have a penis and figured that I should be pretty used to penises by now...

What's even stranger is that I was channel surfing and flipped on a CSI rerun that had some pretty graphic violence in it and wasn't effected in the least.. Any one else numb to graphic violence but still shocked by male nudity?

This is not commentary on the movie itself, I'm still trying to figure out what I thought of it.
