Why are there so many stupid people on ICQ?

I have noticed over the time I've used ICQ (And this goes for all other instant messengers), that there are quite a number of people who seem to have very little intelligence! :Q

I don't know if they just pretend to be extremely stupid, or if they really are that stupid, but sometimes it gets damn annoying! :|

from my experience, the only age group that uses icq are in the early teens.. 12-14

Thats why I never do the Free For Chat sign on, I always just leave it as available. Otherwise you are asking to be bombarded with messages.

why are people on ICQ stupid? Because of it's <insert random insult here> GUI, annoying sounds, and lack of security. And it's easy to use, which lets <insert random group of people who are very f*-ing dumb> use it with ease.

I hate those dumbass people who random chat...If I wanted to talk to random people, I would use the stupid happyface logo thing...I always screw with them and they eventually leave me the hell alone...heh heh heh

Hehe, I agree. I use ICQ but I don't consider myself stupid, annoying, or immature like most of the people. I don't put myself available (sp?) for random chat. As a test, I did, and every single day I would get a bunch of people asking for chat.

I don't know if more intelligent people use AIM or other instant messengers but my friends from school use ICQ so I stay with that. If I get someone who I don't want to talk to, which is about anyone who says &quot;Hey, A/S/l? Wanna chat?&quot; I just put them on invisible/ignore. Hey, if someone thinks I'm mean or an ass for doing that, oh well!
