up here in the north east, my school has a lot of korean and chinese people.
when i went to visit california last month, there were more "japanese" (as well as mexicans, whoa).

but anyway, do "japanese" ppl not like the NE?

immigration for chinese were mainly centered around new york city and san francisco while for the japanese, most of them just settled only in california.

i'm willing to bet the percentage of japanese is far below that of chinese (obviously because there's more of them) and korean.
and i'm willing to bet california has a greater percentage as well.

Cause we eat them. A little kosher salt and then pepper after they are done eating. Don't want the pepper to burn. Cook 'em in a cast iron skillet then in the oven at 500 degrees. Mmmmm.... Japanese.

How do you tell the difference unless you understand some of their language? I didn't think you could *really* tell different races by height and the slant of their eyes.

I don't know, but riddle me this: why are there so many "stupid" ppl on ATOT? 🙂

no no... its "why are there so little 'smart' ppl in the atot"

So little?

The underpasses of our old stone railway bridges that can't be easily expanded. Only one Hummer at a time through these puppies. No self respecting sumo wrestler could get through, no matter how much kobe steak you left on the other side.

You can tell by facial structure. Being asian, maybe I'm more observant when it comes to asians. But, I think the same goes with white people from different regions.

Yep. You dont have to be asian per se, you just have to have seen a lot of asians in your lifetime.

White people have little trouble telling an italian from a spaniard, and being a white boy grown up in flushing (basically chinatown), I can easily tell the difference between chinese, japanese, and korean. Of course theres overlap, so its not always clear cut, but you can usually venture a good guess. And its very easy to distinguish by language as well. Hell, I could tell you if someone is asian or not just by looking at the back of their head.

that's because you're stupid.

I thought you were asking why there are only "little Japanese" people on the East coast. I thought to myself, "Self, aren't ALL the Japanese people little? Is he saying that there are tall people from Japan that I've never seen on the West coast?" And my facial expression resembled this: 😕

Then I looked at the name of the thread's poster. Figures.

I was one of only 5 Japanese kids in my HS of 3600 students.

Not too many Japanese Americans in the NE. There are alot of Japanese ex-pats that stay and leave after 3 years though.
