I did the UPS thing last winter when I was out of work.
Without that top you couldn't see shyt. With the top, you can seldom see shyt.

Having spent years in industry, I stepped in many a UPS truck. I've stepped in other stuff too.😀
 
If you actually read the link that someone posted, according to UPS themselves, it's not to let light in, it's to keep the truck more cool.

Although I'm sure it does that too.

I've asked my UPS guy directly. He assures me it's for lighting.
 
Ugh... don't even mention the words UPS truck to me! My first job as a young lad was washing those bitches. I lasted all of two days on that job... 😀

Some diesel, some gas. Alot of UPS trucks are used in Oregon for 6 months before being sent to California to avoid fees that California charges for diesel vehicles.
