Why are some bars banning Google Glass?

good for them.

I wouldn't be comfortable with some prick with a camcorder recording me at a bar either.

People know they say/do stupid shit while drunk and don't want to be the next viral racist/ misogynist/ idiot/ boss hater?

So it's not because they are computer screens but apparently they have a camera?

Did you not even read the article you linked in your first post? How about the sign pictured at the top of the article, you know, this one:

Seems a little obvious the concern is recording......but maybe I'm missing something.

Some people are already god awful with being a wanna-be paparazzi with their phones. I could only imagine how google glass will make those people.

It's the usual, "people don't mind being spied on as long as they can't obviously see they're being spied on"... "logic".

Just the techno ignorant, if I want to video you, I don't need anything obvious to do it.

This is true but don't cry if someone punches you in the face for doing it.

Personally I couldn't care either way, if I'm in a bar I'm going to be trying to have a good time rather than trying to video other people, and I don't really care if you waste your evening videoing me. But I do understand that a lot of people are pretty touchy about it and will, possibly, try and break your face over it.

Yep.

Besides, whatever is posted on the internet is fair game for employers to use against you. There are countless examples of people who posted on social media and get canned for something. Now someone can come in wearing glasses and record everything then upload it taking all control out of your hands. No one lives a life nor ought to have to which can withstand that level of scrutiny especially considering the potential consequences. I'd sooner see the technology outlawed.
