Okay...I cannot STAND smoking. For one I am allergic or something to smoke...it makes me cough very badly so I am glad I live in CA where it is illegal to smoke indoors. However...people outside still smoke and I can't stand walking by ashtrays and having to smell and breath all that crap. I think smokers should have to eat their cigs after smoking so they don't sit there and smolder all over other people.

Seriously...I've been up in San Fran and...it's really nice I like it...nice bay breeze and all and then WHAM a damn smoker screwing up all the nice air.

I believe that my right to breath clean air supercedes their right to smoke. We should make them wear special helmets that keep all the smoke they exhale right around their heads. Maybe they would stop then.

But what I really really hate is the people I see smoking in their house or smoking in their car with kids in the car or in the house. While I tolerate smokers...the ones that do this should be shot.
 
meh, i think smokers should be allowed to smoke outside. But the exposing kids to it is just wrong...

I can never understand why kids start smoking when the link to cancer and other nasty diseases is so clear. Of course, I can't understand why the same stupid kids listen to rap. lol

Do you understand why people sunbathe when the link between it and cancer is so clear? Do you understand why people drink alcohol like horses when the link between liver problems and alcohol abuse is so clear?

Some people really just don't care about the consequences or side effects of doing things.
 
When someone smokes close to me, I cough and move away, usually making it clear that their presence in the smoking state is unpleasant to me.

Wow, I can understand that you don't like people who smoke, but its a recreational thing. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it wrong. I'm sure you do things that a smoker wouldn't like so don't go judging a smoker. BTW I don't smoke.

Seriously, I can remember as a small child hating smokers(both my parents smoked.. in the car with the windows rolled up) and swore I would never smoke cigarettes. To this day I have not smoked a cigarette. I did however try a cigar once when I was drunk and it burned my throat and made me want to vomit... I have never tried to smoke a cigar again.

I don't see how anybody can start smoking. At least with the sun and alcohol there is a desirable effect if not done to excess. With smoking it's all negatives. :thumbsdown:

I smoke cigars Odin but I wouldn't ever bother a non-smoker by smoking near them. 90% of us are the same way.

Now cigarette smokers, they're a different breed. They smoke shtty, low quality tobacco and bitch about not being able to quit. They should learn to smoke like men, not assholes.
