For me personally, I am not against them. It just seems to me that you should be hopping up motorcycle engines on motorcycles, not in cars.

If it has 4 wheels and doesn't have a big block I just ignore it.

I think the fumes from the gasoline and solvents have damaged there brains. Its like this in any hobby or industy. The originators always thumb their noses at the newcomers.

ricers != hotrodders ... and they don't claim to be.

I hear old muscle cars on drag radials peeling out every now and then outside my office building. Its just as annoying as ricer exhaust tips.

Hotrodders don't thumb thier noses at new comers. They LIKE seeing DOHC V8s shoved in damn near anything. (LT-5, Northstar, and Cobra engines are some examples). And I don't know if the ricers in your area are just different from the ones in my area, but the ones around here DO claim to be hotrodders.

And if she only wanted me because of my car, I wouldn't hesitate to drop her like a bad habit.

Actually, when my girlfriend was back at home last summer (in NC), one of her old friends -- a ricer -- took her along to a race or rally or something. He wanted to show her off to his friends (even though they weren't dating), and his friends ended up hitting on her whenever he wasn't around.

But guess what?!? She's back with me. . . You see, not only is she super-hot, but she has brains and a personality -- and wants those things in a guy.

Important lesson: Non-hollow girl (one with attractive features other than a nice rack) wants non-hollow guy (one who can hold a conversation about something other than his quasi-souped-up car).

Keep in mind that where Jose lives men obviously don't have much to offer women so a joked up import has to make up for their inadequacies

Personally, it's the whole econobox popularity that gripes my butt. That's bad enough, but to have this attitude that the damn things are cool just pushes me over the edge! America used to have a love afair with cars... REAL cars! Now those same Americans are cruising around in minivans and their offspring are ricers. Real American rolling thunder has evolved into a rolling belch! Now ricers go on to glorify these wondrous econoboxes just to add insult to injury! :frown:

Kind of like you.

No, he's right on that count. I hate to admit it but ricers often do have hot girlfriends.

LMAO. Ornery, your posts make me crack up. You won't be happy until everyone is driving around in an Excursion.

I'm into imports and I'm into performance. My creed is that if it doesn't enhance the performance of the car, it has no place on the car.
