I was thankful that starbucks was open today. 5:30am - 10pm according to the sign on the door. anyone up in arms for them?

Fricking ridiculous. Working today and had to make a food run. Pasted 3 or 4 McDonalds, Burger Kings, Jack in the Box, and Wendy's, all closed. Even Taco Bell. Closed. Bullspit. 😡

Honestly this was probably the smoothest I have seen black friday. Atleast from my personal experiance. I was in and out of three stores within 2 hours. Got everything I was looking for and made someones night/xmas.

Where are you that it is Friday?

And if you were closed that day and they knew it they would get the movies the day before and you could have enjoyed a national holiday like the rest of us.

But the thing is it never bothered me to work. I was in college. Double time meant more beer money. Sometimes I think people feel like they need to faux rage about a problem that doesn't really exist. Think of college kids who need beer money.

when retail workers work holidays, do they get extra holiday pay? if they do id think theyd have people volunteering to work

Are Walmart greeters more important than Doctors, Nurses, EMTs, and Police?

If you start to stroke-out after listening to your crazy aunt tell the same story for the third time, or your ticker stops beating after your third helping of mashed potatoes, you want someone to take you to the hospital, right?

And when you get to the hospital, you want it to be open, right?

We all know what we get into when we apply for a job.

You work retail? Congrats, you are going to work part-time hours on random days until you get seniority.

You work as a waiter/bartender/chef? Congrats, you are going to work every Friday/Saturday/New Years Eve/etc if you want to make money

I don't understand this new coddling of entry level workers.
