Why are people swearing left and right and not getting slapped?

cursing USED to be allowed, then was cracked down upon, and pseudo-cursing increased. Now they are back to how it originally was.

I've been here as long as you have and I never remember the "F" bomb being allowed. I do, however, remember times when people were given vacations for bypassing the language filter.

In Fortune 500 surroundings here, it's not unusual to hear an F bomb be dropped and minor profanities to be used A LOT.

These are well educated and extremely high paid positions.

It's society as a whole though.

More forums allow open discussion rather than filtered though.

I will say some people use words just to sound tough or pointlessly.

When a $150k server has smoke coming out of it..."FK!" is pretty appropriate.
