If 2k made a proper PC version of NBA 2K, i think they would be surprised how well it sells.

Because the perfect basketball game already exists.

PC sales have always been a drop in the bucket compared to consoles, maybe few 100k to 3-4 million at best. Not surprising PC version got no love. It was tolerable when patches were late since I mainly played for modding, but last year was it for me when they didn't even release the final patch.

Are there any good sports games on PC period?

I haven't played one in eons. If I want to play sports I always go console. I would have kept buying sports games for PC but EA decided when the new consoles happened that the PC would get the PS2/Xbox version.

I've always enjoyed the 2K series. I don't play online, just single player franchise mode. Their menu navigation is probably among the worst in the business, but then again it's the only basketball game you can get on the PC. At least they give us something whereas EA doesn't care at all.

I would assume because mouse / kb kinda sucks for this type of game.

Do you really want to have to drag your mouse towards the person you want to pass to each time?

It's like why racing games work better for consoles or why fps suck for them unless they enable auto aim cheat for it.

Of course, that's why I always play NBA2K with a 360 controller plugged in.

the graphics look bad, they are missing features, online play is barely functional a lot of the time. they are routinely among the worst console ports on pc.

Uhhh...I have 2K13 running on a 6850 on a 104" screen at 1080p. It looks downright amazing. Like, almost real at times.

Same,

I'm not a basketball fan by any stretch, but I ran through the "build a player" mode in both 13 and 14 and found them enjoyable.
