why are my cpu temps creepign up?

when I first built my Epox8kha+ with Athlon 1600XP the temps were about 107 F
the past month though they have been creeping up, now they are about 120F and I saw 122F the other day,
note these temps come from if I reboot, I haven't found any linux hardware monitors that work eith this MOBO.
I have a Alpha PAL 8045 heatsink with a panaflo fan.
I have added a scsi card and drive recently, that cuts down on airflow, but the case temp isn't up just the cpu, that's why I'm worried.

any thoughts?

maybe your heatsink is clogged up with dust.

Dunno about where you live, but I bought my XP 1700+ in January. Temps were around 55 deg. C.

Now, my temps are around 58 deg. C - not bad considering general temperature has gone up from 14 deg. C in the daytime to around 18 deg. C in the daytime
