As a motorcycle rider, I completely agree.

I thought Cali already had fairly strict noise laws? It seems like I remember reading on advrider that you had to be careful because even if you're out of state they can give you a fix-it-ticket.

Nobody enforces those laws here. My neighbor has a Harley that is loud as fuck...he never gets hassled for it.
