I thought you were a big supporter of the Republican party. Your pals are in power, how does the government suck, to you?

...And then there is the small percentage of bitter liberals who can't articulate a single thought without launching a diatribe against Bush. You're a shining example.

Can you write one post with out apologizing for Dubya?

Watch this, someone will blame Clinton and the Democrats....because somehow, the Repubs being the majority party isn't enough.

The Republican party lacks the unity and party lining that the Democrats have that prevent it from correcting these problems.

Unity?! HuH? The Republican Party certainly does look unified. It is unified in spending like drunken sailors and expanding the senior welfare state (which has now exploded).

We can't give up hope. I'm 21 and I honestly feel like my generation is going to be a little more competent and willing to work to make neccessary changes.

Why do you think that? I don't see that happening at all.

The day those policies are reversed would be glorious indeed.

So let me get this straight. You support a party whose policies you believe ought to be gloriously reversed?

Some policies. Not all. The Democratic policies are worse.

Ah, ok. A matter of 'lesser of two evils.' Now I totally understand.

Did you ever realize that there is a third option? I like to call it the no evil doctrine. It entails not supporting evil, period.

Why did this discussion turn into bashing the two parties?

This is what we DON'T want from the general American populace. We want them to objectively look at their current state and decide what the two parties are offering and how it affects their future. They should care about what is going and think about their future prospects and the choices they make, and its effect.

Both parties are feeding off the ignorance of the general public, that is a bad thing!

In my opinion the nanny state and lack of responsibility it breeds is what's tearing this country apart. And the republicans took the nod from the democrats and charged that right on ahead. Neither party is worth voting for, and if more people realized that and voted for a third party we could break this incredibly broken two party system we have.

It is easy, really. All you have to do is cut off support to those who you believe are doing evil things.
