I see it everywhere- Posts/ articles about Democrats and Congress in fear of Trump. Fearful that impeachment will only benefit Trump. Fear that Trump will pivot and make this about Biden.

I say bring it on. There is nothing to fear. Trump supporters have already proven, beyond any reasonable doubt that they will rabidly support him. It doesn't matter what level of criminal activity Trump engages in.

So what's the realistic fear? The dug in Trump nutcases will vote for him anyways. He isn't going to gain a more rabid fanbase - They already have rabies.

I say it's time to go all in and use the same tactics he employs. Go all in, get dirty and wash this fucker out of the White House. Don't go for moderation. Go for the jugular and rid Washington DC of the stench this sociopath created. There will never be a better time than now. If the Dems present a strong enough case you may get the silent majority of GOP members in the Senate to actually convict. It's a long shot but a fight worth fighting.

It's the media saying that. They love him because he brings them ratings and cash with his criminal shenanigans. They won't lock onto anything for more than a couple days to avoid damaging their cash cow.

They shouldn't use the exact same tactics he uses, because that would involve telling repeated obvious lies (with hopes that people will simply believe them if heard often enough) and corrupting the system to avoid accountability. You're right that the Dems shouldn't hold back; they just have to be sure to show that they have facts and justice on their side.

Pelosi just got enough votes in the House. If she didn't have the votes it would have been a disaster. As for why she didn't have the votes, well, I suppose that comes down to a lot of House Dems in a lot of districts that are very vulnerable in pink/red districts. It's easy to say "yeah impeach the fucker" from a blue district. Not so much in a pink district. But now we are seeing many Republicans unable to cover for Trump anymore. 421-0 vote in the House to cough up the whistle blower report, for example. 30 GOP Senators willing to impeach Trump today if they could do it anonymously, because they know the GOP base is retarded and will punish them for doing the right thing.

Because when impeachment fails it very well could turn people sympathetic towards Trump, make moderates feel he is a victim of fake news and political witch hunts. Liberals have no understanding of humanity, no perspective. Got to give her credit, Pelosi is playing it smart, but all feels no logic liberals only know how to keep the tantrum rolling.

I don't think it will move the needle.

Don't forget that Trump is a narcissistic, overt sociopath. The Dems would be wise to push him to his maximum extreme. In doing so, he will probably commit more crimes or will say something overtly racist that truly crosses the line. If you study sociopaths you'll understand that they have no limits to the delusions of grandeur that they suffer from, so even if he's advised to stay silent he'll likely incriminate himself further.

As for his supporters, they'll support him like Germans supported the third reich till Berlin burned to the ground. They will soon become irrelevant.

Trump has character flaws but he has used those to his advantage. Take for example you calling him a racist, there is no real evidence of such, but the left only knows how to talk about him in extremes and melodrama. You compare him to Hitler, call winning our long established democratic process something akin to dictatorship, claimed if he would win the economy would crash, etc. etc. All the left has done since Trump has come into the political spotlight is called wolf and embellished to the point your words have no real meaning outside your evangelical base any more.

No understanding of humanity is stating I didn't rape her because she isn't hot enough.

At least hopefully the distraction of impeachment keeps him from pursuing other damaging policies

Did you just use the word evangelical and Trump in the same sentence? Touche.

The Christian right is going to be a non existent political force once the dust settles. The younger generation that is replacing the buffoons and mentally slow Trump supporters is far more sophisticated and smart to see through the hypocrisy of those on the right.. Moral warriors that support a traitor, a me first leader, thrice divorced, hooker silencing sociopath. Good luck with that, buddy.

And Trump committed his latest crime the day after Mueller testified. The slightest stress makes this guy self destruct.

But your type are the evangelicals today, liberalism is your religion. I myself am not a believer in any god or religion and will be voting for Trump, btw. Most of your post is just cheerleading to yourself, btw.

Exactly. The Dems need to find the most well respected expert on sociopathic triggering and employ every last tactic until Trump either resigns in shame or commits a crime that nobody in the GOP could support.

Trump has engaged in enough mental warfare. It's time to throw it back at him.

How do you know I'm a liberal? I'm not. I love this country and probably paid more in taxes last year than you've made this decade.
I could care less about liberalism or conservatism, but unlike you fake moral warriors, I care about doing the right thing and never operate where the ends justify the means. Now go back to Trump worship, little Russian Troll.

Also, to answer your thread title more directly, the Democrats are afraid of Trump because Democrats are not doers, they're whiners. When the Democrats, RINOs, the leftist fake news media, and Hollywood all tried to take on Trump at once, he still beat them. That kind of utter beat down leaves a mark, this is where TDS is born from.

Says the guy backing the party that complained about how bad the ACA was until they got the power to replace it and produced what? Oh that's right, nothing!

Whoever winds up running against Trump needs to put a standup comedian on the payroll. I suggest Chris Rock so they can be schooled in the art of the comeback. Chris will probably give the Dem a discount.

Just a tactic as a means to an end. You can't treat this guy like a normal political opponent. He needs to be punched in the face by someone who knows what they are doing. That's why Chrissy Tiegan was able to shut him up in their brief Twitter war.

Do you have a Sean Hannity branded PC that auto types for you? Amazing that all the FoxTard talking points are automatically populated in all your posts.

Here's a new idea - Learn to the think for yourself. Read the transcripts. Use this thing called LOGIC to ascertain whether or not Trump acted within the letter of the law. You're way ahead of most Trump supporters as you seemingly know how to spell and write correctly, so I do have some hope for you. Good luck.

Probably because Trump is doing his level best to ensure he would lose an election in 2020 anyway. The fear is that impeachment could throw him a lifeline that increases his odds from almost certain loss to probable loss but much closer.

Why? Have you met any Trump supporters? They are infatuated with him. He doesn't have to do much to get them to vote. Many of them have replaced Christ with Trump. They will vote for him with or without impeachment.

IMO the most significant factor in all of these investigations that seek to bring Trump to justice is the fact that Trump's base gives him free rein to do anything, to say anything with their blessings whereas the Dems have to walk on thin ice while juggling a pack of napping wolverines that can wake up and turn on them in an instant in order to have Trump pay his due.
