I've seen a million of these threads on here. Well, maybe a few hundred. Nonetheless, I can't figure out how you geeks can get aroused by a chic broadcasting the news. Does Newsweek turn you on more than Playboy?

Good looking and sexy woman turn us on, no matter who they are, what they do, or what country they're from. It's that simple.

that chick who does the SNL headline news with the glasses is kinda cute. She usually does a number with Jimmy Fallon.

It's all a reflection of FOX News' decision to select anchors and reporters in part based on their looks, as a means to attract a younger audience. Assuming all else were equal, would you rather watch Christianne Amanpour or Laurie Dhue broadcast a report from Amman, Jordan? Hmm...

I may find a particular news anchor attractive, but I won't feel the need to logon to ATOT and post about it like some do.

Most of my "geek enabled" friends like to be informed of local, national and world events. Whats one way of getting that other than your computer? TV news. Most news stations have very sexy women anchors. FoxNews, CNN and CNN Headline news to name a few.

Sexy Anchor krumpets 4 me please!

My other joke "I used to know a girl in highschool who wanted to be a feminist. <brief pause> Her boyfriend won't let her" gets some people rolling on the floor with laughter.

Well, we do two things in life: sit on the computer and watch TV (most of the time in that order). Logic clearly states that we'll be attracted to women in both mediums. :D

As an aside, Newsweek is a magazine, not a TV station, so they don't have newscasters ;)

Because the newscasters are looking straight into the camera, kind of pseudo looking into the viewer's eyes. The only kind of real attention most geeks get here from girls is them running and screaming in horror. Newscasters are there (on certain channels) for hours on end, look them straight in the eye, and smile.

Love at first byte.

If you watched Naked News, you wouldn't be asking this.

On a serious note, though, Joie Chen is really cute.
