Damn feel like sh!t right now, even though this is what I wanted. Hurts like hell. But I guess it's the right thing to do.

if it was the right thing to do, then why are you sad. i never got that. when i broke up with my first girlfriend, i almost laughed in her face lol...

p.s. i have a girlfriend of 2.5 years and we broke up once or twice. it wasnt meant to be so it felt wrong. if it feels wrong, it wasnt the right decision.

its just sad because you are losing someone who is close to you. although you may not love them in the same way you once did there are still feelings there.

If they were easy, everyone would be breaking up.

Being single is somewhat liberating, try enjoying it.

If it's the right thing to do, you should focus on why it was the right thing to do...

but just cuz I'm an ass, remember,

if you touch yourself, you make baby jesus cry. :)

I remember when my ex GF and I broke up. It was the 2nd most painfull, devastating thing I had to endure. We were madly in love and our relationship was explosive. I started suffering from depression and things fell apart for us. She couldn't deal with it and we had a very nasty break up. I eventually recovered, but she had moved on.

I still have feelings for her and feel very guilty about the breakup. Its been 10 years and she still won't talk to me.

Don't make stupid mistakes with someone you love or you may end up like I did. Alone and very sad. Granted I have a new GF now, but the pain and guilt are still there and it hurts when I hear about her or if I see her.

I love my new GF, but not like I did with my first serious GF. That kind of love is extremely intense. Now I am more jaded.

everybody hurts. except celebrities. only that one time, sarah jessica parker called up a radio show and complained that "we're human too" after being called horse-faced. but im sure that she was only hurt becuase it reminded her of high school, before she was a celebrity.

anyway, my girlfriend and i recently broke up.
great sadness.

Well, it was the right thing to do because she came with a lot of bagage. She's separeted (not too long ago) and has 2 kids. Going into it we both didn't want anything serious, but we both fell in love. I was cool with the fact that she has kids but she still has a lot of issues with her ex. This is the right thing for the both of us.

iwearnosox lol. :D

yoda291 yup, right now I'm trying to focus on the right thing, but it's hard cause I miss being with her.

Luden Damn i love that song and I think I have that CD here somewhere. Havent heard it in a while. Cheers to you too.

bigrash, sorry to hear it. Just remember that you made the right choice, and don't ever look back.

Damn. I thought I was one of the few on ATOT who's breaking up . . . is this, like, the popular time of year to break up people or what?

bigrash, I can sympathize. I know it's the right thing to do, she knows it too, but it hurts me to see her get hurt by what I've said/done . . . :(

I've been staring at the phone for the last week wondering whther I should call or not. This sucks.:brokenheart:

Closure is such a b!tch.

The only way I can get closure would be to speak to her face to face. And so far, that ain't happening.

If I could do it all over again, I would, but I wouldn't repeat the mistakes I made initially. I keep wondering , what if?

Don't make the same mistake I did. Call her.

I never called her, and later I found out she waited for months for me to call. I am starting to really hate myself, ugh.
