wow @ background checks per 100k people in Kentucky (74,546) and Illinois (58,832)

Just over half in one, and 3/4 of residents in the other.

That is the liberal solution to everything ..... stop enforcing the law....

- Let all the illegals in and do not enforce immigration law. We need people to do menial labor and if they dont, threaten deportation. Those who are waiting to immigrate lawfully can just keep waiting.

- Legalize pot and /or do not prosecute possession of small amounts of drug possession. The jails are full of harmless addicts who do not steal or commit crime to support their habits.

- Let retail theft under $950 be a non jail-able offense. Just write them a ticket if we even bother with that much. They are only stealing to survive anyway.

- If someone cannot afford bail, let them go under personal recognizance. Surely they wont commit more crime!!

In many countries people are fleeing, the problems in their country are made worse by LACK OF LAW ENFORCEMENT. In many countries (not all), the police are corrupt, the legal system is broken or cannot effectively deal with criminal gangs / drug cartels / etc.

And it starts with allowing criminals to go unpunished.

This is why retail stores are being closed in liberal havens such as San Francisco. Why pay for something when you can just steal it? Forget the Ten Commandments. Forget the law. A 100% discount 24x7x365 simply cannot be beat! And no one will stop me! - unless they close the store. :(

Now emboldened, smash and grab flash mobs are terrorizing brick and mortar retailers.

Wake up liberals -

The solution is MORE LAW ENFORCEMENT, not LESS.
"Defund the Police" is not what the term actually stands for. You probably don't get what the movement is actually about.

My car got broken into on Thanksgiving like 10 years ago, took a bunch of stuff I had in there. Cop came out, took a statement, and straight up told me they probably won't find anything. I doubt they even tried plus it happened overnight so whoever did it was long gone by the time I saw it. Basically a waste of time for me and the officer and I'm sure that same situation happens the vast majority of the time a break in occurs.
Happened to me this year. I even had the timestamps for when they were at Walmart and they did nothing. I was tracking a stolen phone, they still did nothing.

I did not mention this movement, which I think even adds more fuel to crime wave fire.

So please, feel free to tell me what it is all about.

In case the OP or other lunatics think Democratic policies are linked to gun homicides. Here is a chart I found ranking by state. Note the states at the top

I support reasonable gun control and back ground checks. I personally have not owned a firearm since 2012. I would like to get another one, but it is not a priority.

Liar.

It sounds like it was your own fault for not having insurance BEFORE your shit got stolen. Multiple times.

Fuck is wrong with you? You're either dumb as fuck for not insuring your property, or you're just making this bullshit up.
It's my fault for not having coverage on my tools? The thieves have no responsibility and we should simply allow them to take whatever they want? And you think something is wrong with me because I don't accept that logic?

The tool rider on my two million dollar liability coverage increases the cost by roughly 85%. Want to guess why that is? Based on prior loses, if I go two years without getting robbed I'm ahead of the game compared to insurance. So far that's worked out.

You may be comfortable with thieves doing as they please, I'm not. I'm all for putting them in jail where they belong.

Nobody said thieves should not get punished, but yes, you are an idiot for not having them insured.

At over 950 dollars they could be punished with jail time. So nobody if arguing they shouldn't be punished.

But you have to take personal responsibility for not having insurance in a world where stealing happens, and the cops have never been Sherlock Holmes when it comes to these matters. In the fact they've never really given two shits.

Take some personal responsibility man.

I think a better reason for why “America is descending into chaos” would be 40+ years of GOP policies on public education (ever since integration meant they no longer had to care about schools) and the effect it’s had on critical thinking skills, STEM and even understanding our own country’s young history.

Oh, and now funding for school supplies has been reduced to Squid Game entertainment in red states:

Now, before you go screaming “whataboutism”, make sure you actually understand why I posted this…

Let's put this into a little perspective with a few points.

No one is suggesting smash and grabbers should go to jail.

This recent crime wave likely cost a few million dollars. However the perps who almost killed our entire financial system in 07 with losses in the trillions from fraud have not gone to jail.

Just sayin'

On second thought—OP is right. We should be asking liberals why her bail was set *less* than the amount she stole, even after her *second* arrest!! Why can’t we keep white people in jail, liberals??

I don't see any tools in the pile.

Too busy looking for that non-existent CRT to buy basic school supplies

Get caught with a counterfeit $20 and you get a knee on your neck for 9 minutes and executed by Judge Dredd.
Grift your supporters for millions and basically... nothing really happens. Sure you get picked up partying on a billionaire yacht. Just a minor inconvenience.

But lets keep flogging the poor's over petty theft.

That's because consequences are only for people of color.

Liberals do not understand the human toll that crime takes on people. They are too busy supporting soft on crime initiatives.

The ironic thing is when a liberal gets robbed. Then they are up in arms wondering where the cops are.

I can only smh and roll my eyes at the same time.

That is another mistake - to eliminate the impartial application of law regardless of the race of the offender.

Ever wonder why she is wearing a mask?

If you want to make an impact the time to act is before crime is committed. Teach morality, discourage drug and alcohol use, etc.

If someone has already been convicted, help them get rehabilitated so they will have a chance to lead productive, crime free lives.

Except the cops arent wearing those blindfolds. They're very selective in who they charge and go out of their way to not charge white people.
