My imagination went overboard with that video. I shouldn't, but I'd really like to have a display case a couple feet square with tiny micro-chip-bags of every kind of chip I can find 😀

We came back to our Bed and Breakfast in Hilo one night several years ago and I spotted one of these in the common foyer. I ushered my aunt and uncle off to bed and kept everybody distracted. Nobody else spotted this thing.
I went into the room with my wife and made some excuse to go back outside. I chased it out the door and went to bed. I figured only one person had to worry about that beast all night!

Hah, I remember when I was in Georgia cleaning the pool filter by hand once. Pulled out the usual detritus, lawn clippings etc. And ravelled up in the center of this crazy mess were the bodies of a few black widow spiders.

I used to be scared of spiders. Its not so bad now; I generally just kill them (exspecially the small ones).

I would be scared shitless if I came across Black Widow spiders, whether they were alive or dead.

That link is hilarious - exspecially the bloody letter from a resident of the opt out village.

Stop saying it like that and you'll stop spelling it like that... exspecially if it's a word you use so often.

Okay. For the spelling police: Exspecialy, especialie, exspeciallie, escpecaillie ... especially.
Stop saying it like that = pronunciation police. You aren't supposed to say it like you are spelling it either, even though many people do. "Ess Spes Shiel Lee"
If you call an Espressos an "Expresso," it betrays your intelligence the same way.

i don't consider myself bug squeamish but when I was in the shower and saw a 1" ah heck shimmy his way up through the drain hole and rapidly make for my feet I screamed like a tweener at a zac effron movie

I have a few bug stories.

I once watched a mantis and a black widow square off. I was at a job site so I had to go work for a while. But when I came back to check on them, the mantis was holding that spider like a moonpie and munching away. We find them in terminals all the time and kill them. Very slow spiders.

Another time I went into my sons room to check on him. And I saw a bug in his crib! It was a roach!!!( A pier and beam house get them alot, until nuked) I grabbed that fucking bug so fast and squashed its body in my palm. I had roach guts all over my hand. But it was dead now.

I do let the house spiders live in certain rooms. That way we can keep fruit out and rarely see gnats. If they get into the bedrooms then I have to kill them.
