Why am I so irregular?

I'm only 23 yrs old and I only go once every 3-5 days.
Should I be worried? I tried taking more fiber in my diet, but that doesn't seem to work still.

This is a no "poop" thread day.

Drink more water, and go see a doctor. If constipation becomes something cronic, it can lead to problems.

What are you eating? Nothing but cheese, meat, and bananas? Eat more veggies and fruit. Whole wheat bread. Water, water, water, and maybe some fruit juice (apple cider will clean you out if you drink enough.)

Edit: make sure you get plenty of exercise too

Yes, be worried. As feces rots in your colon it releases mutagens. These mutagens are often cancerous agents, able to lead to colon cancer (not fun). Further, it provides a perfect breeding ground for bacteria which may also penetrate your intestinal tract. You say you've tried upping your fiber and that didn't work. Try eating more fruits, vegetables and/or legumes, or consult a family doctor. I know some people who have to take a "special" fiber to regulate their excretory cycle.
