I know I shouldn?t but I have a LAN and want to play games against my girlfriend. Lately it seem like I can?t burn a copy or the burn copy won?t play. Is there a way around this or are newer games protected and unburnable?

Any help or info is greatly appreciated,

Sorry, I don't understand what ISO means. If you mean making a copy to the hard drive then coping that to a cd I tried that.

Safedisk 2 is likely your problem. Go here for info on Safedisk 2 or files that will let you make backup copies.

Check out www.cdr-info.com which will let you download CloneCD (for backing up games) and Clony XL (for finding out which copy protection is used). Keep in mind that your burner HAS to be compatible with CloneCD or else it probably won't work. If the game is protected with safedisk 2 you need to have a capable burner or enable the Amplify Weak Sectors in CloneCD. (which is only available if you switch your regional settings to English other than United States)

Check out these guys, Daemon Tools. They provide emulators for certain copy protection schemes that would prevent you from using copied copy protected cds.
