Why am I getting hang-ups playing Serious Sam??

This is freaking me out. My system is hanging up when I play Serious Sam and I can't figure out why. I should have more than enough juice to handle this game. I have no problems with any other games I play (CS, EE).

I have put the card back to stock settings (in case the OC'ing was causing this) and have a fan cooler right underneath it, so it should be plenty cool.

spec's in sig. Any ideas?

SS will bomb if your system has even the slightest instability. I use it for stress testing an overclocked setup. Did you try it with no overclock on the CPU?

I played Serious Sam with much less of a system than you have and I overclocked my vid card high too, but it's as oldfart says, make sure that your system is running stable and try putting the cpu back to stock.

Yup. I had a system with a PIII700 @ 933 that was 100% stable......at least I thought it was until I got SS. It would crash after ~ 1/2 - 1 Hr of gameplay. Go to stock CPU speed and see what happens.

You aren't using the 2832s by any chance are you? I got lockups from those drivers in Serious Sam - The Second Encounter.

Also make sure that you have the latest BIOS and chipset drivers for your system and don't overclock anything.
